Bearded Iris
We call this beautiful yellow bearded iris 'RubyLee' (the original
name was lost years ago, so we named it after a favorite aunt).
It has been grown at Nobles Century Farm
for at least forty years.
Our large, drought-tolerant rhizomes take a season to establish
(although many will bloom the first year). 'RubyLee' grows about 24 to
30 inches tall in zones 3-9.
Price includes shipping:
3 for $ 6.00 : 6 for $ 9.00 : 12 for $ 14.00
Iris Culture
Irises prefer well-drained soil with good humus content.
They do best in full sun with periods of summer dryness.
Plant rhizomes horizontally 1-2 inches deep. Leave 2 to 3 feet
between rhizomes to allow them to spread. In early spring, feed
with a mixture of fertilizer and lime. Every two to three years,
dig and divide the rhizomes.
