There are over 1300 varieties of bamboo
worldwide, so we only grow a few of these. We give tours of our
bamboo groves at Nobles Century Farm
by appointment. We sell fresh-dug bamboo at the farm and also ship
our products throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Bamboo is one of the most utilized plants in the
world. It can be used for crafts, privacy fencing or for beautiful
accents to any landscape. But, like many plants, uncontained bamboo
can spread and become a nuisance. Particularly for temperate bamboos,
we highly recommended that you install a barrier to prevent the
spread of the underground rhizomes.

Since our farm is in USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 8 (Average minimum
temperature of 20-30 degrees F), most of our groves are temperate
("running") bamboos. We have additional varieties in pots.
